Virginia Tech Named a Leader in Serving Veterans

We're proud to celebrate Virginia Tech's recognition as a leader in serving veterans. The university has received a Gold ranking from Military Friendly for the 2026-2027 academic year, recognizing its commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans, service members, and military-connected students.

At the Office of Veteran Services, we're honored to contribute to that commitment by helping students navigate their education benefits, connect with campus resources, and achieve their academic goals.

This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our students, faculty, staff, and campus partners who work every day to support our military-connected community.

Using VA education benefits this fall?

To help ensure timely processing of your benefits, be sure to submit your Veteran Enrollment Certification (VEC) Form and make a plan for your student bill by August 10.

Submitting your VEC form lets OVS know you intend to use your VA education benefits for the semester and allows us to begin the certification process.

You can complete your VEC Form through Hokie Spa.
