April 21/22, 2023
The Cougars traveled to the Widener Invite, hosted by Widener University. Both teams have remained in the NJCAA Division III USTFCCA National TFRI: Track & Field Rating Index. The women's team is currently ranked 8th, while the men's team is positioned in 17th.

Freshmen Brianna Douglas (Lindenwold HS), sophomore Idayat Adisa (Overbook HS), and freshmen Abigail Webb (Highland Reg.) led the women's team to 6 new school records. Their efforts individually and combining on a relay, also have moved them up on the event national ranking list.

Freshmen Michael Busbee (Lindenwold HS), Simba Mazurara (Gateway HS, Zimbabwe, Africa) became multiple event qualifiers, while also moving up in the national individual event ranking list.

The previous 2022 track & field season the Cougars sent a total of 8 individuals to the NJCAA Division III National Championships. This season the Cougars have qualified 15 individuals, a total of 7 women and 8 men.

The unfortunate news is due to the men’s and women’s team success, the Camden County College administration has decided that the CCC Track & Field teams will not be allowed to compete in the previously scheduled Lions Invitational hosted by the College of New Jersey on April 28/29, 2023 if they want to compete in the NJCAA Div. III National Championships. The administration does not have the money to pay the teams entry fee. Therefore, the teams cannot compete next weekend and all athletes are being denied the opportunity to qualify in more than one event and prepare for the Nationals. The competitive track season will now be shut down until the National Championships begin on May 11, 2023.
