NJCAA DIVISION III OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Mohawk Valley Community College
Utica, New York
The Cougars sent their largest contingent of men and women athletes to the national championships for the third time since their inaugural season in 2019. Due to covid the Cougars 2020 and 2021 track seasons were cancelled, and began again in 2022.
The Cougars came off a 3 week hiatus from track & field competition to compete in national championship event.
Over the course of 3 days, the women’s team broke 7 school records, the men’s team had 1 “modern day” school record set, along with receiving the USTFCCCA Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the East Region.
The women’s team entered the competition on the USTFCCCA National TFRI Track & Field Rating Index, being ranked 7th with the men’s team ranked 16th.
The women’s team finished 7th in the team standings, which is their highest placing since the program began, while the men’s team placed 17th in the overall team standings.
Sophomore Idayat Adisa over the span of her two year track & field career at Camden County College accomplished the following:

3 x All-Region XIX 1st Team
Earned 5 NJCAA National Championship Medals
Set 4 Individual School Records, 2 Relay School Records
