👏 We’re PSYCHed to see some serious teamwork in action!

PBS faculty members Emily Fyfe, Rick Hullinger, Ben Motz, Tim Pleskac, Emma Schiestl, Sydney Trask, and friends took on the 200.8 mile Ragnar Bourbon Chase relay this past weekend, and placed third in their division! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏆

Motz summed up the experience: “We smelled so bad. We got so sore. And yet, strangely, we’re all so happy we did it.”

Faculty and students from the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences participated in NAMI-Greater Bloomington Area's NAMIWalks Bloomington this past weekend, joining members of the community in support of mental health awareness. To top it off, our team raised more than $1,800 for NAMI! 👏

They also hosted a table at the event, where they shared information about the department, our research into psychopathology, and opportunities for community members to participate in current research studies.

Events like NAMIWalks provide an important opportunity for our faculty and students to engage with the broader community and share how psychological research can contribute to a better understanding of mental health. We appreciate everyone who represented PBS and joined us for the walk!
