Last weekend and earlier this week, 51 first-year and transfer students spent three days getting to know Illinois Wesleyan through IMPACT — a program designed to help students build connections, explore campus resources and feel prepared for their transition to college.

This year’s program included 10 student leaders and welcomed nearly 10% of IWU’s incoming class, representing a 30% increase in participation from last year.

Through activities ranging from a campus scavenger hunt to Music Bingo, students had opportunities to meet their peers, connect with faculty, staff and student leaders, and discover the many ways they can get involved at Wesleyan.

So far, 95% of participants say they feel better prepared to begin their college journey as a result of IMPACT, and 92% would recommend the program to future incoming students.

Here’s to new friendships, new experiences and a strong start to the Wesleyan journey. Welcome, Titans! 💚
