Myrtle Tyler, Gladys Warrington, Joanna Houston, Josephine F. Johnson, and L.O. Goldia Smith are the visionary Pearls who sealed our legacy in ink and in history, formally establishing Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated on March 30, 1923, in Washington, D.C.

What they secured on paper, they secured for generations. A sisterhood rooted in Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. A movement built to endure.

More than a century later, our mission still burns bright. Through The Power of S.H.E., we advance social, health, and economic justice with bold leadership, global impact, and community-first action.

On Friday Feb 6, the Finer Women of Beta Iota Zeta wore red in support of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.’s effort to increase awareness of heart disease in women.

Fact: most cardiac and stroke events can be prevented through education and lifestyle changes, such as moving more, eating smart, and managing blood pressure. Please consult your physician before making any changes.
