Music Education at Illinois Wesleyan University Illinois Wesleyan University's Music Education program strives to provide undergraduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the field.

IWU's Music Education graduates have gone on to have successful careers as music educators both within Illinois as well as throughout the country. They acquire the tools to successfully navigate the rapidly-evolving landscape of general, instrumental, and choral music education at all levels from K-12. Our students are very heavily involved in music-related activities in the IWU School of Music, i

ncluding performing ensembles, professional music fraternities (Delta Omicron, Phi Mu Alpha, and Sigma Alpha Iota), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Collegiate Chapter, which won the Chapter Growth Certificate of Achievement in 2014.
