Last night at the College’s annual Distinguished Alumni Awards, we honored a few of our most inspiring graduates - from a Major General in the U.S. Army to a television meteorologist forecasting for millions.

This year's honorees exemplify the breadth and depth of a liberal arts and sciences education, and the many paths to success that it promises:

From snorkeling through the Galápagos to exploring forests and learning alongside local communities, Gabriella turned her biology studies into an unforgettable, hands-on experience. 🌊🐢

Gabriella studied in Ecuador through the College’s ASPIRE Exchange Program, taking courses filled with field excursions and living with host families who made her feel at home.

Funding helped make it possible. As a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, she received support for expenses including flights, tuition and meals—allowing her to focus less on finances and more on a life-changing semester abroad.
