For most, theatre may not seem to be a “practical” career path, but there is no denying that students involved in a college theatre program, regardless of their individual major, learn valuable skills that lay a solid foundation for any career path. Theatre students learn to collaborate with their peers and their instructors, creative problem solve on a daily basis, effectively manage their time,
serve in leadership positions, and learn the responsibility of serving on a team. While they participate in the department and work on building a theatrical production, these theatre students help bring thousands of students, faculty and community members to Northeast State’s campus to share in the final product every year. Supporting a theatre department on our campus not only serves the students and their growth but also serves our campus and community as a whole.
