Congratulations to the 10 Bluefield State University Nursing students who signed to be Aspiring Nurses at PCH/WVU Medicine. This collaboration between BSU Nursing and WVU medicine provides extra mentoring and financial assistance to students as they navigate through nursing school. The students will each eligible for financial assistance up to $25,000. Thank you WVU Medicine for providing these students over $200,000 I’ve financial assistance toward their career goals. Students signing included Kelsey Duncan, Gabrielle French, Haley Fulp, Emily Golden, Matthew Hodges, Madalyn Kinzer, Courtney Lomsak, Ailen McCauley, Courtney Lomsak, Lauren Washington, and Paige White.

We did it — 130+ students clothed! 💛🌻

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Rylee’s Sunshine Foundation was able to provide clothing to more than 130 local students through our Mercer County Clothing Drive. And truthfully, the final number may be even higher!

Every donation, every item of clothing, every share, and every person who helped made this possible. What started as a call to our community turned into an incredible outpouring of kindness for students right here at home.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, shared our posts, helped collect items, or supported this drive in any way: thank you. Because of you, more than 130 young people are heading into the school year with clothing they need and a reminder that their community cares about them.
