Founded in 1898, Snead State Community College is located in Boaz, AL, and is the oldest two-year school in the state to award the Associate's Degree. At SSCC, we are small enough to know your name, but large enough to shape your future.

Snead State Community College's Workforce and Career Institute was proud to host more than 900 high school seniors from Marshall and DeKalb counties for the annual Marshall County College Fair on August 25!

More than 30 colleges, universities, and military organizations connected with students as they explored future educational and career pathways. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience Snead State's state-of-the-art Workforce and Career Institute, where career tech classes were actively in session, providing a firsthand look at hands-on learning opportunities.

A special thank you to Marshall County Technical School and Mayor Dollar for their support and assistance with parking, helping make this first College Fair hosted at the Workforce and Career Institute a tremendous success.

We also appreciate the participating schools: Albertville, Boaz, Geraldine, DAR, Douglas, AIA, Guntersville, Asbury, Marshall Christian, Brindlee Mountain, Marshall County Online, and Crossville from DeKalb County.
