We’re excited to share some recent upgrades to our student study rooms! 📚

A special thank you to our IT and Maintenance Departments for making these upgrades possible. The upgrades include new smart boards, collaboration tables, and chairs.

Our Nursing students spend a great deal of time in these rooms throughout the semester, studying and preparing for success. We look forward to seeing how these improved spaces enhance the learning experience for our students!

Join us this Saturday, July 25, for our Community Health Fair at the Snead State Workforce and Career Institute in Guntersville!

The Snead State Nursing Department will be providing FREE wellness and health screenings, and a variety of health and wellness vendors will be on-site with valuable information about local services and resources available to our community. In addition, Lifesouth will be hosting a blood drive from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Thank you to Snead State Additive Manufacturing Instructor, David Hyatt, for providing our NUR 114 students with 3-D printed heart models to help reinforce classroom instruction on cardiac abnormalities. On May 5th, we celebrated 47 nursing graduates at our RN Pinning Ceremony. The ceremony marked an important milestone in their journey to become registered nurses and honored their dedication and perseverance.

During the ceremony, two graduates were also recognized for their outstanding achievements. Jaylin Ezekiel received the Academic Excellence Award for earning the highest GPA in second-year Nursing courses. Crismary Terrero was this year’s recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award for providing exceptional patient care.

We are proud of all that our graduates have accomplished and are excited to see the impact they will make as they begin their nursing careers. Congratulations to the Snead State Registered Nursing Class of 2026! 🎓🩺💙💛

The 2026 Snead State RN Pinning Ceremony is less than one week away! 🩺🎉

Join us at Plunkett Wallace Gymnasium on Tuesday, May 5th as we celebrate our RN graduates. The pinning ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm. Our faculty and staff look forward to seeing all that our graduates will accomplish in their careers as registered nurses.

Snead State Nursing is now accepting applications for our new stand-alone practical nursing (PN) program!

Interested in learning more?
🩺 Applications are being accepted now through May 15th to join our Fall 2026 cohort.
🩺 The program can be completed in three semesters.
🩺The program will be offered on-campus, with students completing their clinical hours in area hospitals and long-term care facilities.
🩺Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam to practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).

⭐️ Scholarships are available for our first cohort!! ⭐️
