A.D. Henderson & FAU High School We are located on the Florida Atlantic University Campus in Boca Raton, FL. Alexander D. Henderson University School (often referred to as ADHUS, A.D.

ADHUS & FAUHS is a national exemplary model for school and teacher preparation programs, improving education through innovative faculty research and curriculum. Henderson, or Henderson) is an elementary-middle school (K-8) on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. We are not a part of the Palm Beach County School System, but we are a public laboratory school under the auspices of

the State University System. Our kindergarten through 8th grade students come to us through a lottery system from predominantly the Broward and Palm Beach county areas. Our classes are small and our parent involvement is wonderful! The faculty members at Henderson have a variety of experience and many are instructors at the University level as well. Our teachers are all involved in research to help Henderson and other Florida schools grow to their fullest potential. In addition to our outstanding academic program, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities as well as an After School Program. Florida Atlantic University High School (FAU HS) is a dual enrollment high school on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Our school is unique in the way that students spend their 9th grade year in a typical high school classroom setting, taking advanced coursework. This prepares them for Grades 10-12 where all classes are collegiate classes taken at the University for both high school and college credit. Typically, when students graduate from FAU HS, they have also earned three years worth of college credits. Some have even received their Bachelor Degree!

Last week, we were honored to welcome U.S. Secretary of Labor Keith E. Sonderling to campus and showcase the innovative learning experiences that make our schools such a special place for students to learn, grow, and discover their potential.

During the visit, Secretary Sonderling saw how our students engage in hands-on learning, advanced research, and real-world experiences that connect classroom learning to future careers and opportunities. From our youngest learners to our high school researchers, students demonstrated the curiosity, creativity, and drive that define the Florida Atlantic experience.

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the impact of a university-connected, research-driven educational model that empowers students to think critically, solve complex problems, and prepare for success in an ever-changing world.

Thank you, Secretary Sonderling, for spending time with our school community and learning more about the groundbreaking work happening across Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools. We loved sharing our story and celebrating the power of innovative education together.

As we close out our celebrations, we cannot forget to proudly recognize our 5th-, 6th-, and 7th-grade students for their hard work, talent, and dedication at our end-of-year awards ceremony. 🏅✨

The ceremony was a wonderful reflection of a year filled with growth, determination, and achievement. Congratulations to all of our award recipients, your hard work and commitment truly paid off! 🎉

This was a joyful way to celebrate another amazing school year before heading into summer break. ☀️🦉

Last night, we proudly celebrated 176 extraordinary graduates as they crossed the stage and officially became the newest alumni of FAU High School. 💙✨

From groundbreaking research and academic excellence to leadership, athletics, innovation, and service, the Class of 2026 leaves behind a legacy of achievement that has inspired our entire school community. This remarkable class earned a 100% graduation rate, conducted advanced university research, received prestigious scholarships and honors, and contributed over 47,000 hours of community service along the way. 🌟

To the Class of 2026: thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the legacy you leave behind. We are so proud of you, and no matter where life takes you, you will always be part of the Owl family. 🎉💛

🎉 What a special morning we shared at our Kindergarten VIP Breakfast! 💛 Families joined us to celebrate our youngest learners and all of the amazing growth they’ve made this year.

We started the morning with a warm breakfast gathering, followed by a touching performance from our kindergarten students, led by the wonderful Mrs. Francani-Cimino 🎶. Lastly, students joined their families as they presented a heartwarming gift crafted together in our classrooms. 🥰

We had the privilege of celebrating the incredible volunteers who shine bright in our school community each and every day. From lending a helping hand to supporting our students, staff, and families, their dedication truly makes them our MVPs! 💛
