Meet Ginger, the newest addition to the Florida Atlantic Police Department family and Chief Brammer’s therapy dog in training! And of course, say hello again to Officer Buchanan’s K-9 Nala, who continues to bring comfort, smiles, and plenty of hugs to our FAU community.

🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Climb.

Join the Florida Atlantic Police Department, Division of Student Affairs, and FAU U.S. Army ROTC on September 11, 2026, as we come together to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and recognize the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s first responders.

Following the memorial ceremony, participants are invited to take on the 9/11 Stadium Stair Climb & Fitness Challenge at Flagler Credit Union Stadium. The 10-round, 2,050-step climb symbolizes the 110 floors climbed by first responders in the World Trade Center towers.

Before you head out, have a plan. Choose a designated driver, use a rideshare, or arrange another safe way home. One responsible decision can prevent a life-changing one.

From August 19 through September 7, officers will be increasing their presence and conducting traffic enforcement as part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

Plan ahead. Drive sober. Get home safe.
