Two of our ACE faculty members, Dr. Webb and Dr. Stephens, recently provided CPI De-escalation Training, equipping Clinical Mental Health Counseling students with practical skills to recognize escalating situations, communicate effectively, and respond safely and compassionately when faced with challenging behaviors.

These trainings are an important part of creating safer environments for both individuals and the professionals who care for them. We’re proud of our faculty for sharing their expertise and helping strengthen the skills of those serving our communities every day.

Homecoming is coming back to Gardner-Webb Nov. 6-8.

From class reunions and Bo’s Battle ’Que to the Homecoming Parade, Hall of Fame Gala and football against Lindenwood, Homecoming 2026 will bring alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends together for a weekend of traditions and reconnecting.

The official Homecoming 2026 T-shirt is also available for preorder through Oct. 20 for $19.05, with pickup during the Alumni & Friends Tailgate on Nov. 7.

Navigating the Streets: Empowering APPs in Recognition & Screening of Common Illicit Drugs presented by Dr. Tiffany Stewart
