The Graduate College invites nominations for the Excellence in Mentoring Awards, recognizing outstanding mentorship across graduate education at Boise State.
Two award categories are available:
Graduate Faculty Excellence in Mentoring Award: Honors full-time graduate faculty who demonstrate sustained, high-quality mentoring that supports students' academic progress, research development and professional success. Two recipients will each receive a $1,000 award.
Graduate Student Excellence in Mentoring Award: Recognizes full-time graduate students who provide exemplary mentorship to undergraduate students in research, creative activity, or academic settings. (Graduate-to-graduate mentoring is not eligible.)
Strong nominations describe specific mentoring practices and clearly articulate their impact. Award nominations must include letters of support from both faculty and students.

To learn what mentoring excellence looks like in practice and to gather ideas for a strong nomination, join us for the Excellence in Graduate Mentoring Panel: Practice That Makes a Difference on Friday, March 6, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., in the Bishop Barnwell Room (SUB). Past faculty and graduate student award recipients will share practical tools that foster student success and belonging, and we'll briefly review the nomination process. Please register to attend.
