State fair project pick up is TODAY, August 25th from 3PM to 5:30PM at the Fairgrounds. Please make arrangements for someone to come and get your project(s) if you are not able to pick them up. Warrick County residents: Are you managing a chronic health condition or working on preventing one? Here is an opportunity to learn how changes in your cooking and eating patterns can help. Pre-registration is happening now for a 4-week program series titled "Steps To A Healthy You" . Purdue Extension Educator Jo Gilreath will provide you information, cooking demos and food sampling. Join us for the Indiana Homesteading Conference on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for a day filled with practical workshops, expert speakers, and valuable resources for anyone interested in homesteading, sustainable living, gardening, livestock, food preservation, and small farm management. Whether you're just getting started or looking to expand your knowledge, you'll leave with ideas and skills you can put to use at home. Event will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026 starting at 8:30am. Location is Monroe County Fairgrounds 5700 Airport Road Bloomington, IN 47403. You can attend full day for Early Bird rate of $20.00 or $25.00 after September 1, 2026. You can attend half-day for Early Bird rate of $10.00 or $15.00 after September 1, 2026. To register complete this registration form: https://bit.ly/HomesteadingConference2026 and submit your payment (cash or check payable to Purdue University) to Purdue Extension–Monroe County. 3400 South Walnut St Bloomington, Indiana.
