The Wentworth Institute of Technology Sweeney Programs of Construction Management is proud to be a sponsor of the new Dream It! Build It! exhibit at the Boston Children’s Museum!

This exciting, hands-on exhibit empowers children, and the adults in their lives, to dream up, design, and build solutions that make our world a better place. Through creative problem-solving, experimenting with materials, and building projects using real tools, children are introduced to the many possibilities within the construction industry in a fun and engaging environment.

At Wentworth, we are committed to inspiring the next generation of builders, designers, and construction professionals. We are proud to help provide a space where young minds can discover the creativity, teamwork, and innovation that construction makes possible.

Representing the Sweeney Programs of Construction Management attending the “ribbon cutting” and grand opening celebration today were Dean of the School of Management John Cribbs, Ph.D. and Sweeney Programs of Construction Management Program Administrator Michael J. D'Agostino, MSCM along with Alexander Bennett Wentworth’s Senior Associate Director of Industry Engagement. The new exhibit replaces the longtime “Construction Zone” exhibit and represents an exciting new chapter for the museum.

Special thanks to Melissa Higgins, Vice President of Programs and Exhibits and incoming President & CEO of the Boston Children’s Museum, for welcoming the construction community and the many donors who helped make this exhibit possible. We also congratulate Sharon Jozokos, Senior Vice President of Columbia Construction and Wentworth Construction Management alumna, whose leadership was instrumental in driving donor support and who shared inspiring remarks during the opening ceremony.

We encourage everyone to visit the Dream It! Build It! exhibit at the Boston Children’s Museum, located at 308 Congress Street, Boston, MA, and experience this outstanding new space that celebrates creativity, construction, and the future of our industry.

A Tragic Loss for the Wentworth Community

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of one of our own. Paul Ledwell Jr., age 37, a 2010 graduate of the Wentworth Construction Management Program, was tragically killed in a crane accident on Friday, October 24th.

Paul was a dedicated construction professional and a proud Wentworth alumnus, remembered fondly for his strong work ethic and kind spirit. He leaves behind two young sons and a legacy of commitment to his craft and family.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Paul’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. The Wentworth Construction Management community mourns this heartbreaking loss and honors the life of one of our own.

One of the two men tragically killed in a crane collapse in Everett last week is being remembered by his family as a devoted father.
