CS MS Students and CS Undergraduate Seniors are welcome to meet representatives from the tech industry and learn what it takes to stand out in today’s tech landscape.

The Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences and the Department of Computer Science are teaming up to bring you an informal information and networking session with industry leaders. Whether you're actively searching for an internship, exploring potential career paths, or looking to sharpen your portfolio, this is a great opportunity to connect directly with working professionals and recruiters.

Join us for the first lecture in the Department of Computer Science's fall 2026 series with Aditya Akella. All CS students, faculty, and staff are welcome.

CDS 950

Aditya Akella is a Professor and Regents Chair in Computer Sciences at UT Austin and a Research Scientist at Meta.

Modern systems demand smarter decision-making. Today's operating systems rely on rigid, manually-designed policies that can't adapt to increasingly complex hardware and workloads. To address this, we are building LDOS, a Learning-Directed Operating System that treats decision-making design as a data-driven, system-wide optimization problem.

Students from BU's Department of Computer Science joined STEM students across campus at our Engineering & Applied Sciences Career Fair last week. With over 50 companies and nearly 1000 students in attendance, it was a day full of genuine conversations and doors opening. Thank you to every student and employer who showed up to make real connections and explore what's next—and a special thank you to and for hosting the event.

Last week, CS undergraduate students stopped by to meet and connect with the CS Undergraduate Advising team while spending some time with BU’s Community Resource Dog, Bean (Bean)! ❤️

Students got the chance to chat with advisors in a welcoming and relaxed environment, enjoy pizza and drinks, and spend plenty of time with Bean. From feeding her treats to watching her do tricks, Bean definitely stole the show! 🐶

Thank you to Bean, her BUPD handler Matt Quinlan, and everyone who stopped by and helped make the event such a fun afternoon. We loved seeing students connect with the CS community and enjoy spending a wonderful time with Bean!
