One of the minds behind the modern robotics revolution is coming to Boston University Questrom School of Business!

We are thrilled to welcome Gill Pratt, CEO of the Toyota Research Institute and Chief Scientist of Toyota, to campus for a special conversation on the future of robotics, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

From leading the DARPA Robotics Challenge to advancing some of the world's most ambitious research in robotics and AI, Pratt has spent decades helping shape technologies that are transforming industries and redefining what's possible.

On October 20, he'll join the Raif Ali Dinçkök Student Forum, sponsored by the Ravi K. We were honored to welcome Robert Langer, MIT Institute Professor and co-founder of Moderna, to Questrom.

A groundbreaking scientist, entrepreneur, and innovator, Langer has spent his career challenging convention and transforming bold ideas into real-world impact. Mehrotra Institute for Business, Markets, and Society, invites undergraduates from every BU school and college to explore complex questions about business, markets, and society. Participants will build arguments, engage with opposing perspectives, and compete for a share of $40,000 in prizes.

On October 16, we’ll welcome George Church, pioneering geneticist, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Colossal Biosciences, for a conversation at the intersection of science, business, and what once seemed impossible.

What a night at Fenway! ⚾

Last month, the Boston Red Sox welcomed the Questrom School of Business to the ballpark, and our community showed up in full force with faculty, staff, students, and families. We saw our name on the scoreboard, got a photo with Wally, and cheered for UDC's Dante Barton and MBA Center's Kaitlyn Tambasco, who were featured as "Leaders of the Pack."

Outside the classroom, she’s part of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity and BU Marketing Club. Congratulations to the Boston University Finance & Investment Club (BUFC) women’s team on winning the Cornell Women in Finance Stock Pitch Competition for the third year in a row!

This year's team, Ella Dibari (Questrom'29), Michelle Maydan (CAS'29), and Ava Simpson (Questrom'29), competed against students from leading business schools across the country, presenting their pitch to judges from major investment firms. The competition also brought together firms looking to connect with and recruit the next generation of finance talent.

Behind this win were countless hours of research, analysis, preparation, and teamwork. The result? An incredible opportunity for our students to put their skills to the test, build industry connections, and represent BU Questrom on a national stage.

We’re incredibly proud of this team and the entire BUFC community.
