Good day, everyone.

The school would like to remind all students to be responsible and mindful when posting, sharing, or commenting on social media, especially when your posts involve the school, Legacy College of Compostela, Inc.

We understand that the recent heavy rain caused flooding in some areas of the school. We also recognize that students may want to share photos, videos, or posts about what they experienced. However, we encourage everyone to make sure that the content being shared is truthful, accurate, and presented in its proper context.

Photos or videos that are edited, exaggerated, or presented in a misleading way may give others a wrong impression of the actual situation. While something may be intended as a joke or for entertainment, it can be interpreted differently once it is posted publicly and viewed by classmates, parents, teachers, and other members of the community.

As LCC students, you are encouraged to practice responsible digital citizenship and to think carefully about the possible impact of your posts and online interactions.

Accordingly, all students are reminded to:

(1) Think before you post or share. Make sure that the information, photo, or video is accurate and truthful.
(2) Avoid misleading or manipulated content that may create a false impression about the school or its community.
(3) Be mindful when using personal social media accounts if your post involves or is associated with LCC.

Do not encourage others to create or circulate misleading content about the school.
Use good judgment when posting jokes or humorous content. Remember that not everyone may understand the intended humor or context.

Respect the school community by communicating responsibly and avoiding posts that may unnecessarily cause confusion, concern, or misunderstanding.

This reminder is not intended to prevent students from sharing their experiences, expressing genuine concerns, or posting truthful information. Rather, it is an encouragement for everyone to use social media responsibly, respectfully, and thoughtfully.

Before clicking “Post” or “Share,” take a moment to ask yourself: Is it true? Is it accurate? Is it respectful? Could it be misunderstood?
