Thank you for participating in Cascadia’s annual earthquake drill.

This drill is part of the Great ShakeOut, an international earthquake drill. We use this drill as an opportunity to test our emergency communications systems to ensure they’re ready when we need them most.

Please take a moment to make sure you are signed up for campus-wide alerts and download the UWB-CC Safe app by visiting www.cascadia.edu/emergency

- An alert message will take over your computer screen
- If you are enrolled, you will receive an emergency alert via text message or email

Working/Teaching Remotely During the Drill?
- Practice drop, cover, and hold on for one minute at 10:15 am
- If you are connected to the server, or using a Cascadia laptop, an alert message will take over your computer screen
- If you are enrolled, you will receive an emergency alert via text message or email

Once you have the ALL CLEAR, continue to go about your day. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [email protected].

Today we honor Indigenous Peoples Day recognizing the importance of native cultures and uplifting indigenous voices in our community.

In partnership with UW Bothell, the City of Bothell, the Northshore School District, Lake Washington School District, and the Eastside Native American Education Program, Cascadia College hosted a vibrant Indigenous Peoples Day event with activities spread between Mobius and Innovation Hall. Community members and students gathered to experience interactive cultural activities, including making medicine bags, playing traditional games, and listening to an inspiring panel of indigenous student graduates.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebration and learning!

Did you know you can pick fresh food right here on campus? 🌱

The Cascadia Cornucopia Food Forest is an edible landscape where students and community members are welcome to harvest fruits, nuts, herbs, and more for free. Beyond providing fresh food, the pesticide-free space serves as a living classroom and reflects Cascadia’s commitment to sustainability, community, and learning beyond the classroom.

Next time you’re on campus, take a walk through and see what’s growing! 🌿
