We are excited for Dr. Duffy and the Chamber Singers!!! Congratulations all on this incredible opportunity to present a meaningful performance and represent CU Boulder Choirs!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to our CU Boulder Chamber Singers! Led by Associate Professor of Conducting + Director of Choral Activities Coreen Duffy, the choir has been invited to perform at the 2026 Southwestern American Choral Directors Association conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico next March.

The Chamber Singers’ unique hybrid session—Sh’ma: Global Jewish Choral Music—will showcase underrepresented Jewish repertoire in lecture-recital context exploring how to thoughtfully program music from Jewish liturgy and culture while avoiding appropriation, tokenization and caricature. Program selections will embrace musics from the Sephardic, Ashkenazic and Mizrahi traditions including historic and contemporary diasporic literature.

What an incredible year! Summer is officially in full swing and the CU Boulder Choirs are looking forward to next year! We are so grateful for all of our hardworking students and thankful for the community who has showed up to support us powerfully this year. Our brilliant and fearless leaders Dr. Duffy, and Dr. Swanson have taken us on a meaningful journey of growth, contemplation, celebration and life through rich musical experiences, and incredibly thoughtful programming! Thanks to our graduate cohort for all of their hard work and efforts this year!

We have an exciting lineup of FREE events this week at our College of Music including the CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra tomorrow evening featuring works by Smetana, Tchaikovsky and and Boulanger; and the CU Boulder Treble Chorus + University Choir on April 30 with a program of community-centered themes focused on gathering, love, service, hope and transformation.
