CU Boulder Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship PACES is the lead CU Boulder unit for building the campus’s capacity to undertake public and community-engaged scholarship.

The Office for Outreach and Engagement supports CU Boulder's commitment to public outreach and community engagement. Since 2001, the office has helped connect research, teaching and creative work with communities in Colorado and beyond. This award is intended to recognize a university that has implemented one or more impactful Public Impact Research (PIR) efforts that have produced exceptional outcomes. PIR includes multi-disciplinary research, community-engaged research, research grand challenges, research-practice partnerships, participatory research, translational and use-inspired research, co-production and other approaches.

Are you a CU Boulder faculty member interested in integrating community-engaged learning into an undergraduate course? The Experiential Learning Design Accelerator supports the design of undergraduate courses that integrate community-engaged, experiential learning partnerships. Faculty participants and their community partners receive stipends to support their participation.

The Accelerator will kick off in August with a five-day, virtual design sprint and continue with a community of practice and workshops during the academic year. Faculty will leave with a plan for their community-engaged course.
