Join the Center for Cultural Connections and Community for a space to connect, share a meal, and build community on Monday September 21 at 6:30 PM.

Each dinner brings together students and special guests from campus staff/faculty, local organizations, and non-profits who will share valuable resources, support, and guidance to help you navigate your journey. This is a welcoming and affirming space for students navigating unique experiences related to immigration, belonging, and access to higher education.

🧘🏽‍♂️✨ Wellness Mosaic: Collective Yoga ✨🧘🏽‍♂️

As we continue celebrating Latiné Heritage Month, we’re making space to slow down, reconnect, breathe, and pour back into ourselves.

Join us for a special Collective Yoga experience with Urban Sanctuary (Urban Sanctuary | Yoga Denver) a Denver-based Black woman-owned wellness space rooted in healing, community, and creating spaces where people can feel seen, welcomed, and affirmed.

We’re especially grateful to have Tealek Thomas guiding us through this experience. Tealek is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, and meditation instructor whose practice is grounded in healing, joy, service, and creating space for others to connect with themselves. ✨

Today, we kick off a month dedicated to celebrating the cultura, historias, traditions, and communities that make up our Latin America Diaspora. 💛🖤

From the many countries, cultures, and identities that make up our comunidad, this month is an opportunity to come juntos, celebrate where we come from, honor those who came before us, and create space for the stories and experiences that continue to shape our community. Many Latin American countries also celebrate their independence this month:

Join us Thursday, September 17 from 12–2 PM on Farrand Field as we kick off Latiné Heritage Month with an afternoon celebrating cultura, comunidad, and the Latin American diaspora! 💐

Come celebrate with us and:
🇨🇴 Create your own flower bouquet inspired by Colombia’s Feria de las Flores (flowers by Helen Skiba • Farmer)
🇲🇽 Celebrate El Grito de Independencia de México with representatives from the Mexican Consulate in Denver
🎻 Enjoy live music and performances
🍉 Enjoy a taste of Latin America with paletas, elotes en vaso, aguas frescas, churros, mini empanadas, and flautas while supplies last
