ATLAS EXPO 2026 photo dump #2!

Thanks to everyone who came to the ATLAS Institute last Friday to see more than 100 projects by Creative Technology & Design students. Missed it? There was an assistive baking device that helps people with limited mobility, a motorized climbing board, musicians exploring how our brains sync during music, and a hybrid tabletop game system that lets players in different locations physically move pieces together on a shared digital map. There were animations, short films, immersive experiences, experimental textiles, exhibits about astronomical phenomena, escape room concepts… you really should have been there 🤷‍♀️ Good thing we do it every year.

See your project? Tag yourself!

In-Progress Fest offered a behind-the-scenes look at what Creative Technology & Design students at the ATLAS Institute are working on: video games, remote table top game interfaces, immersive installations, wearable tech, handmade lamps and more.

The event celebrated the creative process—all of the testing, iteration and experimentation it takes to make something interesting.

Come see the finished projects at ATLAS Expo on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The ATLAS Institute took a “show, don’t tell” approach at the 2026 Colorado Technology Student Association (CO-TSA) state conference.

Creative Technology & Design students showcased stop-motion animation, alt video and strategy games, pottery, 3D-printed lamps, handmade furniture, custom-built robots, interactive experiences, still photography, paper mechatronics and more.

We also led hands-on workshops exploring EMG-based servo motors and a reptile survival game called Lizard Lab.

Thanks for having us, !

Did you know every ATLAS undergrad student builds furniture? It’s an assignment in Form, one of six core classes in Creative Technology & Design.

The class teaches the fundamentals of computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modeling, 3D printing, rapid prototyping and sewing—in other words: you learn how to make stuff.

More importantly, students learn to communicate the vision and purpose for their ideas.
