Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) was an anti-apartheid activist. He spent 27 years in prison for his activism, becoming a global symbol of resistance. He won the Nobel Peace Prize. Mandela played a crucial role in dismantling racist segregation, leading to South Africa’s first democratic elections in 1994, when he became the first Black president of South Africa. Known for his commitment to reconciliation, Mandela’s legacy extends beyond having been a political prisoner, beyond his presidency, making him a revered international figure even after his passing. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” —Madiba (his clan name in Xhosa) HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!

Message us if you’d like to join and we’ll share the meeting ID. Would love to have you in our INVST Antiracism Study Group. All are welcome.

Join us and study All About Love by bell hooks. We start Thurs, 11/30 from 12:30-1:30 MT on Zoom at Meeting ID 356 200 9142. All About Love is a warm affirmation that love is possible, an honest view of relationships between human beings, a cultural critique that provokes and challenges narcissism and a celebration of intimacy and deep connection. It’s life affirming.

As we deepen, we realize that racism colors all domains -- education, housing, employment, healthcare, policing, policy, social media, entertainment, family relationships and intimate life. 📚📓📕 Join us starting Thurs 10/12 from 12:30-1:30 MT on Zoom at meeting ID 3562009142. Message us if you have questions. We welcome you, whether or not you have a formal relationship with INVST. We Will Not Cancel Us by amb is a short but very powerful and timely work of non-fiction.
