Congratulations WKU Trumpet Studio for thriving, demonstrating persistent work ethic and dedication amidst one of the most challenging semesters imaginable. Last evening was a proud moment to hear the trumpet sections from both of the Symphonic wind ensembles perform beautifully for the concert recording. Bravo Tutti!

The recording of the WKU Bands and Orchestra Concert under the direction of Dr. Gary Schallert, Dr. Matthew McCurry and Dr. Brian St. John will be posted TONIGHT on the WKU Music Department page, 7:30pm CT.

Dr. Ben Hay joined the WKU trumpet studio today and gave a masterclass on the life of Bill Adam and his routine. Dr. Hay inspired us with famous Adam quotes and reflections on how to build confidence and to never give up!

A BIG thank you to Chris Rymes from Austin Custom Brass in Nashville for visiting the WKU Trumpet Studio today! It was so much fun to try out a selection of great horns and mouthpieces.
