So excited to see Hannah, one of our LTC interns along with her preceptor Jeff, who just happens to be a BGSU alum, along with Aspen from Wood Haven sharing their passion for LTC.
Jeff Orlowski, Administrator for Wood Haven Health Care, brought along Aspen Short and Hannah Miller (administrator in training from Bowling Green State University) for a visit this week.
Jeff and I talked about the latest news from the State Capital that the Ohio state legislature corrected millions in Medicaid underpayments this week, approving $875 million in quality incentive payments (QIPs) to be sent to nursing homes in the state.
Jeff said this should result in a refund of at least $800,000 for Wood Haven.
Aspen shared some great examples of the caring spirit at this not-for-profit facility plus innovative programming now being offered like "Dare to Dream" and the FREE "Movement for Living" program. We got to talk with Hannah about why she chose a career in the field.
