Why she chose Chi O?

I chose Chi O because I knew this was the place for me almost immediately. I wanted somewhere where I could be my true self, that I would have a huge support system to pick me up when I needed it, and to ultimately find my people. Chi O is what does that for me!

“Me and Eva both had each other on socials for a while but never met in person til we saw each other like a Chi Omega post about a COB event and decided to go. When we met up to walk together, that was the first time we ever met and after attending the event we luckily both fell in love with Chi Omega! We’ve gone through this whole process of joining together which has thankfully brought us to be sisters but also grown our loving genuine friendship. Whether it’s us running up to eachother screaming whenever we see each other, being dumb and non stop laughing, or having our long debriefs, she’s someone I know will always be there for me and everyone around her. I don’t know what my experience or Chi O would be like without each other. I can now say we are not only sisters but best friends for literal life.”

“Sammi recruited me, was my Bid Day buddy, and now she’s one of my best friends. Moving 2.5 hours away from home was really hard for me, I had to step out of my comfort zone and meet so many new people all at once, all while trying to adjust to a completely new chapter of my life. But Sammi was someone I instantly connected with, and that made all the difference. From the very beginning, she made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and truly at home in a place that didn’t feel like home yet, which is something I’ll always be grateful for. She’s truly one of my biggest role models and someone I can always go to when I need advice and encouragement. She leads with so much kindness and genuine care for the people around her. She inspires me to be a better person every day just by being herself. After our long weeks, we somehow always end up at 7 Brew, which has become one of my favorite little traditions with her. Those moments might seem small, but they’ve become some of my favorite memories. It’s in those simple moments that I realize how much she’s impacted my life. Having Sammi in my life has changed my entire experience for the better. She’s given me confidence, comfort, and a sense of belonging when I needed it most. I truly can’t imagine going through this chapter of my life without her, and I’m so incredibly grateful that something as scary as moving away from home led me to a friendship as meaningful and genuine as ours.”
