Sending sincere congratulations to one of our Music Education seniors, Ellen Pardue. She won the Kentucky Music Educators Association's competitive and prestigious Jim and Carolyn Fern Music Education Scholarship!

This year's candidate pool was the largest it has ever been, so we are especially proud of Ellen and her achievement. She represents us well in everything she does.

The Southern Kentucky Concert Band at WKU is presenting an “Old Fashioned Sousa Band Concert” on Thursday, June 11th at 7:45 pm in the Auditorium of the Downing Student Union. The concert will feature music that would have been heard at a Sousa Band Concert in the early years of the 20th century including exciting classical overtures, popular songs of the era, outstanding featured soloists, and of course, a Sousa march or two! The concert is FREE and open to the public.

The Southern Kentucky Concert Band has been entertaining Bowling Green audiences with summer concerts for more than three decades. The band is comprised of outstanding musicians ranging in age from 18 to 80.
