Bowling Green loves its band! It was a great evening, as the BGSU Football team surprised the BGSU Falcon Marching Band with new backpacks, donated by Bowling Green State University alumni and Falcon Flames Mike and Jan Wilcox. What a great example of how the Falcon community always shows up for each other. We can’t wait for both groups of students to take the field this Saturday at the Doyt for the first home football game of the season. Tailgating starts at 9:30 a.m. Ay Ziggy!

ICYMI! One of our very own Bowling Green alums, Orel Hershiser has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.⭐️ Hershiser has been successful both on and off the field as a star pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and later as an Emmys / Television Academy-winning broadcaster. He holds the MLB record for consecutive scoreless innings pitched and was 1988 World Series MVP and Cy Young winner. Hershiser's support for Bowling Green didn't end after his time here. He has stayed closely involved with the baseball program, helping it grow and thrive years after his own playing days. BGSU recognized that ongoing commitment in 2025 with an honorary doctorate. Congrats, Orel. We're proud to call you a Falcon.🧡

Digital arts student Kyle Blakely spent his summer interning at the Cernan Earth & Space Center near Chicago, where he created a 3D video introduction for the center’s 44-foot dome.🔭🌌 The center plans to use his work for future programs and presentations, providing Kyle with valuable professional experience he can apply to his senior thesis and future career.
