Buy BG The mission of the Buy BG Campaign is to create a culture of supporting locally owned businesses in the Bowling Green area.

The Buy BG Campaign was created in January 2013. Students from the Bowling Green State University Masters of Public Administration Program worked with the Bowling Green Economic Development Office as part of a service-learning course to create the campaign. Buy BG was created to bring awareness to locally owned businesses in Bowling Green and to educate community members on the importance of buyin

g local. Studies show when people buy from independently owned businesses, more of their money is used to buy from other local businesses in the area. This multiplier effect helps to strengthen the economic base of the Bowling Green community.
