Non-Traditonal Student Alliance of WKU

Non-Traditonal Student Alliance of WKU We are an organization of and for non-traditional students where we can interact with one other.

Our main goal is to help one another provide/find resources, ask/answer questions, seek/receive support, as well as, host/attend activities or events. The Non-Traditional Student Alliance (NTSA) was developed by non-traditional students of Western Kentucky University to fill the need of a social organization in which to interact with their peers. The main goal of the NTSA is to assist each other i

n the daily life of a college student; which includes assisting with studies, time management, and to provide an understanding outlet for each and everyone of its members, whether they need it or not. In addition we would like to create social events and participate in charitable events. Simultaneously, the NTSA fosters an environment more conductive to learning by allowing the non-traditional student to feel more at ease and at home on their campus. As the students become more confident in their surroundings, their own abilities to perform and function at a higher level should begin to blossom and will reach full bloom by the end of their college career. Here we hope to be shining examples to other students, both traditional and otherwise; creating a more confident student in ourselves and our student body. This is the foundation to become leaders within our home, on our campus, and in our community. This alliance gives us the chance to develop our minds in such a way that we can live to our full potential and be the example of hope, courage, and potential that inspires others to follow their own dreams. Remember "the Spirit Makes the Master," and it only takes one person to change the life of many.

For the students whose work could fall under the broad umbrella of "public service." Your student loans could be forgiven. As much as 2/3rds the amount. It really depends on your work.
From my research in this several years ago, you can get creative in your work that can fall under public service.
Check out these links, really good information.
