✨ Winter Fest 2025 wrapped with so much joy.

From the campus tree lighting with President Esch, President Stephen, and President Fabiana, to the Vocal Arts Ensemble bringing the vibes, to carriage rides around campus under the lights — WinterFest was one for the books.

Events like this remind us why community matters. When we show up for each other, celebrate together, and create space for joy, the whole campus feels it.

Thank you to everyone who bundled up, grabbed some hot chocolate, and made the night unforgettable. ❄️💙
Here’s to carrying this energy into the rest of the season.

Today we honor Veterans Day and recognize the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have defended our freedoms. 💙🇺🇸

Thank you to Pitt-Bradford Athletics for hosting this morning’s Veterans Day Breakfast, and to our student leaders from the Political Engagement & Activism Club for staffing the engagement table. Attendees received challenge coins, pins, and miniature flags — and together, we’re signing a banner that will be donated to a local veterans organization as a token of gratitude.

The banner is still available all day in the main hallway of the Frame-Westerberg Commons — stop by, sign your name, and join us in saying thank you to our veterans! 🙌

🎉 Celebrating First-Gen Excellence at Pitt–Bradford! 💙💛

Today we came together for our First-Gen Celebration, honoring the strength, resilience, and leadership of students who are the first in their families to pursue a college degree.

Special thanks to President Rick Esch and Dr. Pam Thompson, Assistant Dean of Academic Success & Advising, for sharing their inspiring first-gen stories and reminding us what’s possible when persistence meets purpose.

👏🏽 Congratulations to Wylique Byard-Moses, recipient of the 2025 First-Gen Trailblazer Award! First-gen pride runs deep here. 💪🏽

Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2025

Today, we honor the strength, creativity, and continuing presence of Indigenous nations across Turtle Island.

Lazore’s work bridges two worlds — city and reservation, past and present. His “traditional graffiti” style blends Haudenosaunee designs with modern storytelling, reminding us that Indigenous identity is vibrant, evolving, and rooted in deep tradition.

✨ Support Indigenous artists & voices

🧡 Today our campus community came together for the Orange Shirt Day March to honor survivors of residential schools and remember the children who never made it home. Walking together is a reminder that Every Child Matters—and that we must continue the work of truth, reconciliation, and lasting change.

🍂🎃 Community vibes were strong at today’s Pumpkin Fest!

Our Pitt-Bradford student groups brought the energy as they hosted the Kids Zone—playing fall-themed games, laughing with families, and creating moments of joy for area kids. 🍁💛

Big thanks to our students for showing what it means to lead with spirit, service, and belonging. 🐾✨

✨ “We have to assert our dignity in small ways. Little details that tell the world we are not invisible.” — In the Heights 🎬🌎

At Café con Cultura, our students did just that — rocking the Pava Jíbaro, a traditional hat woven into Latin American culture and recently uplifted in global pop culture by Boricua icon . 🧢✨ Even better, students got to take their Pavas home as a symbol of pride and belonging. 💛

These moments remind us that heritage isn’t just remembered — it’s lived, celebrated, and carried forward with joy.
