Dirty Sodas were today's Welcome Week treat at WCWC!

Students created customized drinks with a variety of soft drinks, flavorings, cherries, sliced limes, and whipped topping. It was a big hit and a refreshing way to break up the day!

To add to the fun, students enjoyed music from Coyote Radio Station playing throughout the cafeteria while they mixed up their favorite combinations. Thanks to everyone who joined us for another great Welcome Week event!

WCWC Scavenger Hunt Winners!

This week, students have competed in the WCWC Scavenger Hunt, exploring campus and connecting with faculty and staff along the way!

As part of the hunt, students tracked down and snapped selfies with:
• A tutor whose name is a candy bar, Ruth Rosas
• Facilities team members Kristi Jender and Cindy Reed
• The longest-serving faculty member at WCWC, Dr. John Flanagan
• An employee who is also a WCWC alum, Winsor Wood with Security

Congratulations to Elliana Mercer, who was the first student to complete the hunt! A special shoutout to five Cosmetology students who showed great initiative by teaming up to finish the challenge, as well as Becca Jenner, a Nursing student, for completing the hunt and earning prizes.

Today, we kicked off the Welcome Week with popcorn and a variety of fun flavorings to try. Each student who participated received a ticket for a chance to win prizes throughout the week! Additional tickets can be scored at each event, increasing the chance of winning!

Today marks the first day of the Fall Semester at Weatherford College, and despite a few unexpected challenges, our campus is full of energy, excitement, and smiling faces!

As many of you know, renovations are underway to prepare for our new Radiologic Technology program, and recent HVAC-related flooding issues have required some classroom relocations. You may notice fans and dehumidifiers throughout campus as we continue restoration efforts and improvements.

Even with these temporary disruptions, today's campus atmosphere has been nothing short of inspiring. From the positive attitudes of our faculty and staff to the resilience and enthusiasm of our incredible students, the Weatherford College spirit is shining bright.

We've captured several photos throughout the day showcasing students connecting with classmates, finding their way around campus, and kicking off what promises to be a great semester. We are proud of how everyone has adapted and embraced the changes with patience and positivity.
