People have been asking us how weβre doing with the construction nextdoor. Hereβs the deal.
Bottom Lineβ¦Itβs killing usβ¦Itβs totally crushing us! π£
When a business that relies on foot traffic and public parking loses both a sidewalk and cross walk, its going to hurt π«€
Are we mad at our neighbors? Absolutely notπ Downtown construction happens. This is how it goes.
Have they done anything wrong? Nope! πββοΈ
Are the construction workers hard to deal with? No π Theyβre very kind, doing their job, and stop in frequently for coffee and snacksβοΈ π₯
Will we be able to sustain if this continues? Nope π€·ββοΈ
Are we doing everything in our power to make up for the loss? You betcha! The Bisty Bean/coffee cart are out every day this week, double events on Saturday βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ
Do we give up easily? NOOOO!!! Iβm an extremely stubborn person when it comes to things that Iβm passionate about π πͺπ½
How much longer will we be without a sidewalk? Weβve been told a few weeks.
3 weeks doesnβt sound like a long time? True, but business at the shop is only covering 70% of our expenses at this point, so thatβs a lot of extra work for our little Bitsy Bean to make up π» βοΈ π΄
Do we think it will really be 3 weeks? My experience with construction timeliness is like football minutesβ¦.so, weβll see!
Do we still love what we do? More than ever!!! β₯οΈ βοΈ π
Ok, thatβs all for updates for now!
To our customers, who are continuing to come in, thank you!!!π You are literally keeping our doors open π βοΈ π«Άπ½
To those who have taken a break, we totally understand. I think Iβd take a break from us too at this point π π€ But seriously, we miss you, and we hope to see you when sidewalks and crosswalks open back up β₯οΈ
We hope youβre all enjoying this wonderful, beautiful, sunny fall day! βοΈ π πa
