The BSU Irish Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Programs will co-sponsor a two tiered Irish cultural event on Wednesday October 14th.

Dr. Molly Ferguson, of Ball State University, author of “Banshees, Hags, and Changelings: Feminist Folklore Transformations in Irish Writing,” out this year from Syracuse University Press, will offer an interactive presentation on Wednesday October 14th, at 2:00- 3:30 pm In Weygand 1047, titled "Why we Tell Stories: Supernatural Tales in the Irish Folklore Archive"

Calling all graduate students...there are still spaces available in the Professional Writing Workshop (ENGL 526-BW1) for Summer II, which begins on July 13. The course is an exciting one because you ready a work for publication and submit it to a publication venue of your choice.

Past students from this course have been published in The Graduate Review, external journals, and fiction and non-fiction publication venues. You are welcome to use something that you’ve already written that needs extensive revisions or draft something new. We also read a variety of different genres, such as grant writing, travel writing, academic/research writing, and other genres. For more information please contact Dr. Litterio ([email protected]).
