Hey Pikes - Road Trip Alert!

Get ready to witness the stunning colors of the season! BMCC is hosting the Annual Faculty, Staff, & Students Tahquamenon Falls Cultural Color Tour for 2026.

Join us for a day of breathtaking views and autumn vibes. This is a great opportunity to connect with the campus community while enjoying one of Michigan's most beautiful natural wonders.

When: Friday, October 16th
Time: Departing at 9:00 AM | Returning at 3:30 PM
Note: Rain or shine! (Don't forget your umbrellas!)

- Students with children: Little ones are welcome, but please note you must provide your own transportation.

This week, our team and 9 ECE HOPE students from across the nation traveled to Washington, DC! Each student represented their Tribal Head Start program as well as our ECE program with pride and leadership.

They participated in valuable conversations with AIAN staff from the Office of Head Start, various TCU staff and fellow early education students.

They learned about integrating culture into Head Start programs while exploring their strength in balancing life, school and work.

We are so proud of the leadership role they took on behalf of Tribal Head Start employees and BMCC Early Childhood Education students!

The following Tribal Head Starts were represented: Seneca Nation -Allegheny and Cattaragus, ISWA, Sault Tribe, ITC of Michigan, Mississippi Choctaw, Aluetian Pribilof and Cook-Inlet.
