Title and Grade: Recreation Therapist, SG 14
*This position will require one weekend day each week, which will be determined at time of hire based
on current operational need. Hours will primarily be 7:30 AM-4:00 PM; however, due to the nature of the
work there will be occasional special events or patient specific needs that may require an occasional
evening. Flexibility in work schedule is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must hold or have held a permanent basis a Recreation Therapist position OR
• Be reachable on the current Civil Service List of eligible candidates** OR
• Be eligible for 70.1 transfer pursuant to Civil Service law OR a temporary appointment.
Duties will include but not be limited to: Candidate will function as part of a multidisciplinary team within
the context of an innovative, person-centered adult/civil unit. Candidate must demonstrate an ability to
utilize strength-based approaches in partnering with people receiving services to aid them in reaching their
