Sarah Lawrence College Office of Career Services

Sarah Lawrence College Office of Career Services The Office of Career Services offers a broad range of career services that empower students to explore, define, and realize their career goals.

Similar to the donning system, our career advisers meet with students one-on-one, establishing and maintaining relationships over the four years. We approach career development by class year and by each student’s individual needs. Our appointments with students typically cover one or more of the following topics: career exploration, resume and cover letter development & review, internship & job search strategies, personal branding, mock interviews and networking advice.

Students at Sarah Lawrence visited esteemed alum Sam Edelman at this showroom in Manhattan for the Connecting Passions and Creating Your Future Alumni Networking Event where current students had the opportunity to connect with dozens of alumni across different industries to share their stories, build relationships, and come together as a community.

A special thank you to SLC alumna Norma Jean Darden, owner of Miss Mamie’s Spoonbread for catering the event!

Summer Internship: Center for Italian Modern Art

"My name is Oliver, and I just graduated from SLC this past May with a concentration in Language and Culture. I started my internship at the Center for Italian Modern Art in January and loved it so much that I decided to stick around for the summer. Everyone at CIMA is incredibly supportive and friendly, especially to those looking to practice their Italian, and you should definitely come see the exhibition that opens in October!"

I mostly enjoy working with my peers and learning patients' stories and how we can help them."

Summer Internship: Travis County District Attorney's Office

"It is an honor to be a part of the TCDA internship program, and help contribute in any way I can in making progressive strides towards improving the criminal justice system through collective effort, and valuing and respecting all victims and communities. As José Garza, the Travis County District Attorney, has stated, "We can fix [the criminal justice system] together." I am grateful for this opportunity to contribute towards that mission.

The TCDA internship has been extremely rewarding. I’ve gained the opportunity to learn under the mentorship of TCDA prosecutors, attend lectures/team meetings with the District Attorney, sit in on court hearings & trials, & help prosecutors by organizing & taking notes on important evidence."

Summer Internship: New York International Children's Film Festival

"I am is originally from Maine, so much of my filmmaking and screenwriting is influenced by things that surrounded me growing up, such as Steven King movie adaptations, the great outdoors, and good old-fashioned snarky attitudes. I first started working with NYICFF as a Volunteer, and quickly became obsessed. Since starting my work here, I've learned about myself, the film industry, and how to push myself out of my comfort zone."
