TWO WEEKS. TWO BIG EVENTS.

The Jackrabbits are just two weeks away from kicking off their first rodeo of the season! But that’s not all—our biggest fundraiser of the year, One Day for STATE, is happening in just two weeks, too!

The season is almost here, and the Jackrabbits are ready to hit the road!

Here’s a look at where they’ll be headed this fall. Thank you for being part of the journey and supporting South Dakota State Rodeo all season long!

Fall practice is officially underway!

Tonight’s lineup included team roping, steer wrestling, and goat tying! And Coach Ron found himself a pretty good seat with the best view in the arena to coach from. Bring on rodeo season!

Yesterday evening, we had our first team meeting of the year! 🤠 We got to meet and catch up with both new and returning athletes, talk about our plans for upcoming practices and fall rodeos, and enjoy some pizza generously donated to the team. We also talked about our biggest fundraiser of the year, One Day for STATE September 10th, 2026! We’re excited for another great year of rodeo and can’t wait to see what this season brings! 🐴

How does your One Day for STATE donations help our team? Last years support helped us with a new roping dummy pad, new roping boxes and cattle lead ups, four loads of sand added to practice arena, and three strips of drain tile laid down, all in the last 2 weeks!

Save the date! One Day for State September 10th! Donations of any size help unlock large challenge donations all day long!
