Applications are open for the 2023 Blackstone LaunchPad Ideas Competition. If you are a current student at Brooklyn College - All majors, all students accepted - then all you need to apply is:

1) A business idea
2) 20 minutes

The Koppelman School of Business Pitch Competition for Fall 2023 is now open to submissions.

Pitch your business, invention, or innovation. Deadline to apply: September 25, 2023 (midnight).

It should be a business/product/service that you’ve already launched or are planning to launch. Profit and non-profit ventures are welcome.

The Pitch Competition is sponsored by the Murray Koppelman School Of Business At Brooklyn College

We encourage Brooklyn College undergraduate and graduate students of all majors to apply. If you are applying as a team at least one team member must be a Brooklyn College student.�

The deadline for the 2023 Blackstone LaunchPad Ideas Competion is October 16!
Mark that date!
Now all you need is an idea and a few answers for a few simple questions. And those questions will be on a digital form on Startup Tree, the school website for all things Blackstone LaunchPad. This form will be available as early as next week. 

If you have an idea, great! If not, start thinking. 

At the campus round, 4 winners from Brooklyn College will be announced! Each of the 4 winners will receive a $1000 prize, and be eligible to move on to compete at the network round for $10,000.

Imagine that. And it all starts with just an idea!

But first things first!

Sheryl Prince is an educator, entrepreneur, author, and speaker. Over the past 19 years, she has worked assiduously as a passionate educator in service of students with diverse needs. Her mission is to transform children's lives through education, literature, and youth entrepreneurship. About the Blackstone LaunchPad at Brooklyn College.

Blackstone LaunchPad (BLP) at Brooklyn College has a mission to offer free guidance, mentoring, instructional programming, events, networking, access to financial opportunities, and hands-on training to all Brooklyn College students. These workshops are funded by Blackstone LaunchPad, but managed by Brooklyn College.

The Brooklyn College I+E Lab, opening Fall 2022 will offer a micro-credential certification in entrepreneurship to all students, and some of these workshops listed here are required to complete the certification. However, you can take these course separate of the micro-credential at no charge.

Both the BLP and I+E Lab at Brooklyn College are committed in supporting under-represented students, founders, and communities. All students at Brooklyn College are encouraged to join our Blackstone LaunchPad Startup Tree and program. We hope you will share our story and efforts to bring innovation and entrepreneurship to Brooklyn College.

We are not a replacement to a great a college education, we just seek to enhance your college experience if your goal is to become a founder or entrepreneur.
