Watching young musicians like Malakai Plummer of PESO perform at our Youth Pan Festival fills us with pride. But it wasn’t always this way. Pan rose through creativity, struggle, and stigma to become a celebrated sound of our culture.

🍂❤️ A Season of Thanks, A Lifetime of Growth! 🥁🎶

As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, we at CLACC-C are reminded of the many reasons we have to be grateful. One of our greatest blessings is witnessing the incredible growth of our young steel pan musicians over the years.

Today, we shine the spotlight on Malakai Plummer of PESO Steel Orchestra! 🌟

Malakai has been playing steel pan with PESO for quite a number of years, and we’ve had the privilege of watching this talented young man grow up right before our eyes. From his younger days behind the pan to the confident, accomplished musician we see today, his journey is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

It’s more than just playing an instrument. It’s about discipline, dedication, mentorship, cultural pride, and watching our young people blossom into their full potential.

These are the moments that make our work so rewarding. ❤️

Congratulations, Malakai! Keep growing, keep inspiring, and most importantly, keep playing!
