MEET: Sophomore student in the School of Psychology, Bernard Gomes! He moved all the way from India to attend BC, and here’s what he had to report: “Brooklyn College’s strong suit in academics was what initially sparked my interest. But later on, I realized how captivating its location, and affordability was for a boy who grew up in a foreign country. Being an International student, I was adamant about coming to New York, and Brooklyn was the main attraction! The faculty challenged me in both my academic and general life. They inspired interest to do research in the field of Psychology by allowing students, like myself, to assist in the current research done by the faculty. They helped me to understand the important balance between academics and a social life, moving me away from the shelter of my small world in Kolkata. The institution guided me to realize my future goals and how to attain them, while helping me to grow as a person.”
