Intercultural comparison:
EN(AU): EOFY Sale
EN(US): Black Friday
ES(MX): El Buen Fin

We translate ideas, not words. Even though these are not direct translations, the idea behind these sales is the same.

Australia’s EOFY sale, Mexico’s El Buen Fin, and the United States' Black Friday all reflect different systems, tax cycles, national campaigns, and retail seasons, yet converge on one global behavior: timed shopping peaks that shape consumer culture.

EOFY takes place in June of each year, at the end of the Australian financial year (hence the name). Black Friday, usually followed by Cyber Monday, comes after Thanksgiving Day, while El Buen Fin takes place during the Mexican Revolution holiday weekend. Australia also has Boxing Day, which falls right after Christmas.
