The ties that bind Bryn Mawr and Haverford College students are strong, but no stronger than those of twins Daniela and Madeline Dosen, who both played varsity soccer and will be graduating from their respective Bi-Co schools this Saturday! Daniela is headed to Penn to earn her master’s in engineering through Bryn Mawr’s 4+1 program, and Madeline will be attending the New England College of Optometry in the fall after majoring in biology at Haverford.

"We were on the same team our whole lives," says Daniela. "We were on the same school teams, same club teams, so it was fun to be at schools that compete in the same conference and to play against each other for the first time."

“As social workers, we interact with all these systems that our clients are affected by, so we act as the buffer, or the bridge, between these systems,” says Sarah D'Antonio, M.S.S. '26, who started working in the clinics last fall.

Like thousands of women in Ghana, Cynthia Amoaba’s cousins are part of a shea butter economy shaped by hard work and slim margins. Armed with an economics degree and a $30,000 Samuel Huntington Award for Public Service, Cynthia hopes to help change that equation by creating fairer pathways to market for women producers like her cousins.

“College is about saying yes to possibilities. Once you have people around who are willing to lend a helping hand, that’s all you need. We can do anything together." –Cynthia Amoaba '26

Bryn Mawr's newly announced strategic direction, "The Next Chapter," is featured prominently in a Philadelphia Inquirer story about the College and its future. Reporter Sue Snyder spoke with President Wendy Cadge on piloting new ideas, increasing financial aid, continuing to emphasize our academic excellence, and expanding opportunities for student and alumnae/i engagement.

“Given everything that’s going on in higher education, I think we need to be really clear about what our North Stars are so that we’re always making decisions and directing things toward them,” says Cadge in the article.

Read the full article from the Inquirer:

President Wendy Cadge's strategic plan includes more time and money for faculty research, even more emphasis on academic excellence, and remodeling the library, student residences, dining halls.

Suli Kamholtz-Roberts '26 and Juanita Beenyi '26 will both be pursuing nursing degrees at highly rated programs this fall. Kamholtz-Roberts, a biochemistry major from Evanston, Illinois, will be attending the University of Pennsylvania. Beenyi, a chemistry major from Ghana, will be attending Johns Hopkins.

“We need really smart nurses and nurse practitioners,” says Kamholtz-Roberts '26. “Nurses are primary practitioners for many people, especially in underserved areas where there might not even be a doctor available. You need all these really high-level, capable, competent nurses who are focused on patient care. I think that's the future of health care.”

Suli and Juanita are the first of many students from the Class of 2026 we'll be highlighting leading up to Commencement. Read their story, and look for more stories showcasing the class in the weeks ahead! https://mawr.life/wfba
