๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿพ From across the country to Buffalo for one unforgettable weekend.

Some of our Anthrozoology graduate students traveled many miles to celebrate this moment together, and we could not be prouder of everything theyโ€™ve accomplished!

Thank you for bringing your passion, curiosity, compassion, and dedication to our program โ€” and for proving that people willing to study humanโ€“animal relationships are, in fact, the best kind of people. ๐Ÿ’›

Congratulations to all of our 2026 ANZO graduates! โœจ

๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ“ Throw back to all the graduation fun!

What a privilege it has been to watch these undergraduate students grow as scientists, advocates, trainers, researchers, and humans.

Congratulations to all of our ABEC & Anthrozoology graduatesโ€”we are incredibly proud of you! Be sure to keep in touch!

Happy World Bee Day! Although they can be annoying or a nuisance to some, they are one of the important pollinator species, along with butterflies, bats, and hummingbirds. Pollination is necessary for the survival of many ecosystems around the world. Did you know that one in every three bites of our food is directly dependent on pollination!
But they need our help! They are in under threat from human activities and their numbers are dropping at a alarming rate! You can help by supporting measures or organizations that protect bees, such as Save the Bees or The Bee Conservancy. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆ‹

Today we celebrate all of our graduates -- including those from ABEC320: Applied Dog Behavior! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿฆฎ๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Congrats to Reggie, Charlotte, & Chickadee!

Throughout the semester, students trained three dogs belonging to members of the Canisius community, teaching valuable life skills such as focus around distractions, settling on a mat, and loose-leash walking. The dogs also learned the exciting game of scent work, using their incredible sense of smell to locate a target odor.

Happy Graduation Day!

Say hello to the Fennec Fox! These small but mighty nocturnal creatures are native to North America. During the day, you can find them in sand burrows avoiding the hottest part of the day. These guys are incredible at digging burrows underground at great lengths.
