This growth comes during an exciting time for D’Youville, with the launch of our College of Osteopathic Medicine, new academic programs and continued investments in hands-on learning and career opportunities.

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. David H. Kelly, who was selected to receive D’Youville’s Spirit of D’Youville Award this year.

David was a longtime faculty member and a cherished part of the D’Youville community, along with his wife, Ruth. We are especially grateful that just a few months ago, we had the opportunity to connect with David and share the news that he would be honored at our Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner. We’re so glad we had the chance to tell him personally how much he meant to D’Youville and that we were recognizing his many years of service and commitment to our University.

We will proudly honor David and present the Spirit of D’Youville Award in his memory at the awards dinner. While we wish we could celebrate this recognition with him, we are grateful that he knew of the honor and the appreciation we have for all he gave to the D’Youville community.

Our heartfelt condolences go to Ruth, his family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The D’Youville baseball & softball teams have been trained by the King and assisted in cooking over 750,000 wings over the last five years for the festival! ⚾️
