congratulates professor and chair Robert Dell who has been selected by the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) as the 2026 MOR Journal Award winner.

His article, "The Military Bulk Fuel Distribution Problem" can be found in Military Operations Research Volume 30, Issue 4, pp: 5-30.

The award recognizes professionals who, among other contributions, have expanded the application of national security operations research techniques and published an article with the results of their work in the MOR Journal.

Samuel P. Capen Professor of Engineering Management Maria Lehman recently delivered the keynote at the national convening of World Water Day in Washington, D.C.

She discussed the critical nature of water for everyday life as well as the importance of promoting conservation and environmentally responsible development of water resources.

There is exciting news to share as UB researchers are leading efforts to finding a solution to recycling flexible plastics.

PP and PE are used as packaging materials, snack wrappers, microwave containers, and other flexible, plastic films. Their flexibility  makes them resilient to recycling processes, and these plastics often end up in landfills or leak into the environment.

Decision Analysis is a peer-reviewed international journal published by INFORMS. The journal focuses on helping advance the theory, application, and teaching of all aspects of decision analysis.

With Prasangsha Ganguly, they co-authored, "An Integrated Framework to Improve the Resiliency of Electricity Distribution Systems Exposed to Wildfires."
