The brothers of Delta Beta Chi in coordination with the lovely ladies of AST were proud to once again volunteer in the Buffalo News Kids Day newspaper sale, which helped to raise funds for a number of local worthy organizations, such as the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo, Variety, and the Center for Children with Special Needs.

Attention fellow Alumni Brothers! So far, the chapter has held a very successful Rush. They are now moving into interviews and than bids. We hope to have a class of 15.

Again, any support you can give would be greatly appreciated, such as paying $50 Alumni DUES, making any sort of monetary donation, helping at events, donating event supplies, paying for rush shirts, joining the alumni council, or just attending undergrads meetings to offer advice. Buffalo State College Alumnus and current UB Law student Henry Zomerfeld, B.A. Political Science, 2011, and Political Science Professor Kyeonghi Baek, Ph.D., Political Science, University of Mississippi, 2007, published their work on African American churches and same-sex marriage as a chapter in an upcoming Sage Publications book entitled American Multicultural Studies: Diversity, Race, Gender and Sexuality.

The debate over marriage equality is once again heating up during this political season as we see money pouring from both sides of the debate into the campaign coffers of incumbent NYS Senator Mark Grisanti, one of only four Republicans who voted in favor of the new law, and Chuck Swanick, his endorsed Conservative Party challenger.
